Clinical Assessor
£60an hour, holiday included
Every person who comes to Hora is assessed first, by an experienced practitioner, before they are offered ongoing therapy. It is the clinical gateway to the service and the decision that keeps everyone safe. We are looking for qualified, registered psychotherapists and counsellors to carry out those assessments.
£30 per assessment / £60 an hour
Inclusive of holiday pay: £26.77 plus 12.07% rolled-up holiday of £3.23. Two 25-minute assessments per hour, paid per completed assessment.
A worker, on PAYE
Paid holiday, Statutory Sick Pay, and pension auto-enrolment if your earnings pass the trigger. We produce your payslip; you don’t have to raise invoices.
Four hours a week, two of them evenings
A recurring weekly availability of at least four hours, offered any time between 6am and 11pm, seven days a week, with at least two of them between 6.30pm and 8.30pm, Monday to Friday. Offer more if you want to.
Assessment only
You screen, signpost and decide. You do not start therapy with the person afterwards, and you do not choose their therapist for them.
Online, from your own space
UK-wide, with your own equipment and a private, confidential space.
Paid monthly
On or before the 7th, for the previous month’s completed assessments, straight into your bank account.
What the work is
A 25-minute online assessment, booked into the availability you have set. You are deciding whether Hora is a suitable and safe service for this person, and where it is not, saying so and pointing them somewhere better. We do not guarantee a number of assessments, and availability that goes unused is not paid.
You do not provide the therapy, and you do not allocate. Someone who is accepted goes on to choose their own therapist from our profiles.
You give us a recurring weekly availability and we book into it, on a rolling four-week basis, because clients can book up to four weeks ahead. A new assessment is never booked less than 24 hours before it starts. Clients can reschedule up to eight hours before the start time, and a rescheduled assessment may go to a different assessor.
What you will need
- Qualification as a psychotherapist or counsellor, with registration or accreditation from a recognised professional body such as UKCP, BACP or NCPS, and in good standing
- Substantial experience of clinical assessment and risk screening
- Your own professional indemnity insurance, covering assessment work
- An enhanced DBS check, which we arrange once you are accepted, with the fee yours to cover
- Your own equipment and a private, confidential space
- The right to work in the UK
The full terms are shared in the assessor agreement when we talk.
